Dobrodošli na mrežne stranice međunarodnog znanstvenog skupa “Od Krbave do Mohača – u povodu 500. objetnice Mohačke bitke”.
Institut za povijest Istraživačkog centra za humanističke znanosti ELTE (Mađarska) i Hrvatski institut za povijest (Hrvatska), u suradnji s Institutom Liszt Zagreb organiziraju bilateralnu znanstvenu konferenciju posvećenu obilježavanju 500. obljetnice Mohačke bitke (1526.).
Željeli bismo da se ovaj važan događaj u povijesti hrvatskog i mađarskog naroda dostojno obilježi te da se različita pitanja povijesnog, društvenog i političkog razvoja vezana uz uzorke i posljedice same Bitke sagledaju u širem povijesnom kontekstu. Želja nam je da se u svjetlu novijih istraživačkih rezultata sagledaju i revaloriziraju stereotipni zaključci poput stava da je Bitka predstavljala propast Kraljevstva zemalja krune Sv. Stjepana, tj. propast srednjovjekovnog Ugarsko-hrvatskoga kraljevstva. Imajući na umu da je samoj bitci prethodilo više od 30 godina gotovo stalnog ratnog sukoba na granicama Kraljevstva s Osmanskim Carstvom, želja nam je da se čitavo to razdoblje prelaza iz 15. u 16. stoljeće iznova razmotri u svjetlu novijih istraživačkih rezultata hrvatske i mađarske historiografije.

Üdvözöljük a „Krbavától Mohácsig – a mohácsi csata 500. évfordulója” című nemzetközi tudományos konferencia honlapján.
Az ELTE Bölcsészettudományi Kutatóközpont Történettudományi Intézete (Magyarország) és a Horvát Történettudományi Intézet (Horvátország) a zágrábi Liszt Intézettel együttműködve kétoldalú tudományos konferenciát szervez a mohácsi csata (1526) 500. évfordulója alkalmából.
Szeretnénk, ha méltóképpen megemlékeznénk a horvát és magyar nép történelmének e fontos eseményéről, és ha a csata mintázataival és következményeivel kapcsolatos történelmi, társadalmi és politikai fejlődés különböző kérdéseit tágabb történelmi kontextusban vizsgálnánk. Azt kívánjuk, hogy a legújabb kutatási eredmények fényében újraértékeljük azokat a sztereotip következtetéseket, mint például azt a nézetet, hogy a csata a Szent István Korona Országainak Királysága, azaz a középkori Magyar-Horvát Királyság bukását jelentette. Figyelembe véve, hogy magát a csatát több mint 30 évnyi, szinte folyamatos katonai konfliktus előzte meg a Királyság és az Oszmán Birodalom határain, azt kívánjuk, hogy a 15. és 16. század közötti átmenet teljes időszakát a horvát és magyar történetírás legújabb kutatási eredményeinek fényében újragondolják.

Welcome to the website of the international scientific conference “From Krbava to Mohács – on the occasion of the 500th anniversary of the Battle of Mohács”.
The Institute of History of the ELTE Humanities Research Center (Hungary) and the Croatian Institute of History (Croatia), in cooperation with the Liszt Institute Zagreb, are organizing a bilateral scientific conference dedicated to the 500th anniversary of the Battle of Mohács (1526).
We would like this important event in the history of the Croatian and Hungarian people to be worthily commemorated and various issues of historical, social and political development related to the patterns and consequences of the Battle itself to be viewed in a broader historical context. We wish that, in the light of recent research results, stereotypical conclusions such as the view that the Battle represented the downfall of the Kingdom of the Lands of the Crown of St. Stephen, i.e. the downfall of the medieval Hungarian-Croatian Kingdom, be viewed and revalued. Bearing in mind that the battle itself was preceded by more than 30 years of almost constant military conflict on the borders of the Kingdom with the Ottoman Empire, we wish that the entire period of the transition from the 15th to the 16th century be reconsidered in the light of recent research results in Croatian and Hungarian historiography.
